I have a friend who named her daughter Alexis and calls her Lexie for short. It's a cute name.

Well she might get teased in school. A 12 yr old on my block gets called sexy lexie. It's a nice name, but don't you want something different? I here the name lexie everywhere I go.

Darling name. Normally short for Alexia or Alexandra...but "Lexie" on it's own is just as well.

I like it. My daughter is named Alexandria. We call her Lexi. I figured when she gets older she can pick what to be called.

Ok:
A) why is this in the pregnancy section? It should be in Baby Names
B) I find it acceptable although in 'modern' society it is one of the fastest growing baby names in America, behind Addison.
Our wishes go out to you.

It is up to you, but I don't like those cutesie names. I like proper names like Alexis. Elizabeth. Emma. Grace. Caroline.

If you like it, who cares if people on here like it? I think it's a very pretty name.
