Yes, you can run up to 5 iPods at the same time, they'll appear in the Devices part of iTunes, each of them identified by an icon with the name of the device (commonly the owner's name) and he color of the iPod (if you got a black iPod, it'll appear as a little black iPod).

I have two and yes you can.The only thing is if you download
itunes once, your ipods will only have the same music when
you check the box for each song you want.get your wife to
download the itunes software as well then you can each
have a separate music library(you download itunes from
apple.com and have your wife's ipod serial number handy
when you register.

Yes it is, I dont know the details though, but in iTunes when you put in another iPod, I think it tells you this option.

yes I have a nano my husband bought me for my 30th and he already has a 60G thing we share i tunes
Get her one best present I have ever had.
i tunes recognises the i pod attached - mine comes up as a pink one his comes up as a larger white one!
