its not good or bad...just about average??

but it seems nowadays 3.0 is what's expected.

a 2.5 grade average is not good, but not exactly bad either, it is leaning toward the bad side. It is below expectations and if you graduate with a 2.5 grade average, your job oppurtunities will be low

I would say a C Average This would be in the middle

B Average = 3.0-3.5

An A Average 3.6-4.0

Its average...about comparable to a C in letter grades

It is that great space between good and bad as far as achievement scoring goes. Good is 3.5+, bad is 2- .
The big question is : Can you do better ? What is your goal ? & what are the requirements for training in that field ?
If you do all your homework and try then it is OK but, If you are slacking at all . . . get past that and find out what you can really do.

Low, in this age of grade inflation, Average people who just do the minimum can get 3.0 without breaking a sweat.

It's about average. Depends on what you want to do. If you are trying to go to a good college or something, then it kinda sucks. If you want to go to a small school or community college, you are gonna be the valedictorian.

they call it average but they really mean too low. Many institutions that take gpa into consideration dont look twice at anything that starts with 2.
