I have never thought of myself as gay or bi. I have always liked both men and women, but I can see myself more with women, when it comes to love. I like men, for sex, but not always. My girlfriend insists I'm gay, but I told her I am just open to love. Whether it be with a man or a woman. Just because I am open to love, does that make me bi?

There's a couple wonderful terms for people that don't restrict themselves to certain genders. Queer and pansexual are two that come to mind and that I've actually used to describe myself before.

First off - there is no real reason to label yourself. If you insist on a label, and enjoy physical intimacy with both men and women, then yes, you are bi-sexual.
But in my experience most women exhibit bi-sexual behavior or desire. This is unlike men, who generally are either very hetero, or very homosexual. Why, I don't know.
There is nothing wrong with your self-characterization of being open to love. Frankly I think its a refreshing label, and totally honest and to the point.
Women in general are more loving than men - men tend to be driven by that dog leg humping kind of sex drive... women aren't necessarily so driven.
Certainly, if you enjoy men sexually, you don't qualify as gay... a true homosexual only enjoys sexual relations with members of the same sex.

Being bisexual means having the capacity to be sexually aroused by each sex, and since you have that, you are, indeed, bisexual.
However, a lot of people feel, as you do, that the label doesn't quite cover them; technically it's right, but they don't feel bisexual in the way it's understood by most people. A lot of times, they use just the concept that you express- calling themselves "equal opportunity lovers" or something similar, which I like.
Don't stress about it, and good luck!

I suppose your bisexual that's what I consider myself even though I'm more attracted to women then men, if there is still attraction to men it makes you bi.
I once saw on a shirt:
40% Straight
60% Gay
100% Bi.
Just as an example.

You can try the bisexual label, but maybe Pansexual suits you better. Of course, who needs labels? Just go by whether or not you're attracted to each individual regardless of gender.

I would guess you're bi, but you're the best person to judge that. You'll figure it out at your own pace.
