History looks upon FDR positively because he took us out of the Great Depression and won WWII. The New Deal pumped billions into the economy and put a lot of people to work. He kept us out of WWII as long as he could, but still supported China, France, and Britain. However...

He also tried to pack the Supreme Court with justices friendly to him without Senate approval. He arrested 120,000 Americans of Japanese descent and sent them to "relocation camps." He personally denied entry to almost 1000 Jewish refugees from Nazi Germany, condemning them to death.

1. He provided good, competent leadership during a very troubled time.
2. His policies brought more people out of poverty & into the middle class than any other administration.

OK, The war (production ect.) brought us out of the great depression not Roosevelt.
No I, I think he was one of the worst presidents we've ever had.
He got the 18th Amendment repealed to fund the "New Deal"
He started back trade with communist russia to get money.
But basicly I don't like him because of his socialism.
