I'm Asian, and I think what she did on national tv was rather unkind and unprovoked. And her 'apology' was even more insulting, like salt on the wound IMHO. If it were up to me, every Hollywood celebrity party that she attends should serve Chinese food, just to gently but firmly put a glaring spotlight on her.

Ok, I guess it wasn't a big deal to most of the people who responded. I AM over it, but still a little bit mad. Come to think of it, I guess it wasn't really a big deal. I guess I just never liked Rosie and she really struck a nerve.

I am surprised at so many negative answers to this question. Just do a search on Rosie on Yahoo and you will see plenty of people who do not think it's a "small" thing to get over. Hannity, tonight, showed her pathetic excuse for an apology, then she said that she'd probably make other similar remarks because that's "just the way I am." If this were only one instance of foot-in-mouth for Rosie, then maybe we could say get over it. But she regularly insults many people and groups, across the board.

You don't have to do much research to find how many people she has insulted since being on The View. Not even counting Tom Selleck on her on program. I have already written my views on her Asian remarks. I don't take any racial mockery funny or something that we should tolerate. Please, don't apologize for feeling insulted.

So she could be a fat, ignorant, racist moron on not one, yet 2 factors of the line. There additionally occurred to be a quickly-foodstuff eating place nevertheless interior the form technique in this edge of the line too, and in spite of the reality that the eating place wasn't totally geared up, Rosie wasn't taking any possibilities. Her stomaches jiggling around and jowels wobbling, she waddled over to the what-might-have-been-KFC and started to shovel cement down her throat, mistaking it for hen paste. 2 chinese language shape workers stood interior of reach, shaking their heads and muttering obscenities in Mandarin. in spite of the reality that those adult adult males spoke suitable Mandarin, all Rosie looked as though it would hear became "Ching chong chong, ching chong, hen, chong, ching chong chong..."

When any ethnic group is insulted, all ethnic groups should be offended. If it weren't the Chinese today, it would be the Poles tomorrow and so on.

I have never been a Rosie fan. I think the "View" has come down in classiness since she joined the show.

I'm glad to see so many people celebrating celebrities that offend minorities and claiming it's "not a big deal".

I thought Rosie was all about tolerance and multi-culturism.

/no, I didn't REALLY think that
//but the hypocrisy deserves merit

What a sad state we live in. Are we all so thin-skinned that this should bother us? I think everyone needs to get some perspective. It's not like she was saying the Chinese should be exterminated.

Oh, and since when does insulting someone demand punishment?

Worry about big issues, not the trivial.

Give me a break. I am more sick of people getting bent out of shape out of every little thing, than dumb stuff that people say on daytime talkshows.

It's too bad people can't put forth this kind of effort holding people like politicians and other people in power accountable for their words and behavior; instead they'd rather beat this tired celebrity stuff to death.

I hate Rosie. She should be shot.
Seriously, how can she bash people for making jokes about homosexuals and then turn around and make racial jokes like that?

I think you should not worry about it. It's Rosey O'FatAss, as was said in a comic skit once.... she's funny, she pushes the limits, who cares. I really doubt she meant it in an evil way. Hey, I got over the Sienfield guy comic incident, you can get over this!!! Life goes on man!
