Well, that depends on that States law and what congress will do to secure that seat, or the tie breaker could be broken by the VP Cheney"s vote. I am also curious of what will happen I hope that State doesn't have a stagnant Senator. And my answer is not in favor for rep. or dems.

You're mixing up the two houses of congress. The house of representatives is not affected because Johnson is a member of the Senate.

Possible. According to reports, he's recovering nicely. There is no requirement that a Senator even HAVE a brain. Ex: Ted Kennedy, Robert Byrd.

He has to resign. If he doesn't resign, the S.D. Governor does not have authority to appoint a replacement.
