not to me...I've probably spent over 10,000 hours doing research on subjects that interest me over the past 8 years.

It is possible that the initial novelty value is wearing off.

The internet might have been regarded as cool and high-tech, but as people use it more often for mundane purposes, it becomes just another tool (albeit a useful one).

Personally, I would not describe it as boring, as there is always something new to learn from it.
