okay i know this is a weird question but listen to my dilema. I have never been in a relationship with him and he has been very mean to me the entire i have been pregnant. I feel like he should be able to see her born, but i am having a csection and i would rather have my mom in there with me. So should i let him be in there or call him after she is born or let him go with us and he can just wait until we get out of surgery with her. Please help me.

Its up to you honey. If you dont feel comfortable with having him in the room: dont. You can tell him you are having a c-section and they only allow one person in the room and you have already asked your mom to be there. Tell him he is more than welcome to come and wait till after the birth to see the baby. If he doesnt come then call and let him know when you feel up to it or have your mom call. Then its up to him. The hospital will back you up and wont let him in the room if you dont want him to be. Congrats and Good Luck!

I think you should let your mother be in the room with you. I think for your mother that will be a beautiful and emotional moment to share with you. Later after the baby it's born u can have the father call in so see the baby.

Congrats!!!!

sweetie, its all up to you! if he has been mean to you throughout the pregnancy, i would tell you to follow your gut feelings and have youre mother in there. if she's been supportive and he hasnt, i think it would be better for your stress level having her in there. but i also understand that you want him in there to see his daughter being born. i would still say your mother, and have her take the baby to see him after your surgery.

i know its a tough time, with so many hormones and emotions as it is, but i hope all goes well for you.
and if you cant make up your mind, try talking to him about whether or not he would want to be in there- he may prefer to wait outside you never know.

congrats on you little one and hope all goes well. :)

Frankly it doesn't sound like he has earned the right to be there when the baby is born. Even more frankly, it doesn't sound like he deserves to see the baby at all.

If a man treats his pregnant mate as you've described, he deserves to pay child support, and that's about all he's earned.

Certainly have your mom present - but not him - it would be unfair to you, and to your daughter.

I would just call him after its done and go from there.

Just my .01

well this is a stressful time for you and your body and you need to do what makes you comfortable and secure cause your laying it out there me personally i would have my mom and let him see immediately after usually takes them 45 minutes to clean things up i don't think it will kill him to wait that take care of your self first also remember as you raise her don't bad mouth dad let her learn on her own cause there is something a mom gives and something a dad gives

I would have your mom in there with you if thats what you want. Its your day, you make it easy for yourself. If hes been mean to you, then he can wait a few minutes till afterwards. I hope I helped you and I wish you the best of luck to you and your daughter.

I had two c-sections and had my husband in there to see it. It is very important for a father to see the birth, if he can, so that he will bond more (and appreciate you for bringing him a child into the world). If you really aren't comfortable, don't have him in there. However, if he asks if he can be, atleast consider his request.

maybe your doctor will let you have two people in there. Have you had a tour of the hospital? They might have an open window into the operating room.

i just had a c section on last friday and my mom was in there with me and if i were you i would have him stay in the waiting room untill its over. believe me your mom will be such a great comfort to you, and anyways he was a jerk to you during your whole pregnancy, you are not dating nor are you married so you should not feel obligated to allow him to be there with you anyways
