I never believed in Santa. I never realized I was supposed to ACTUALLY believe. I thought it was just a tradition that you said it was Santa and the kids pretended to believe, but you knew it was your parents.
I'm sure when I was really little I didn't know the difference, but by Kindergarten I didn't actually think some Santa brought presents down chimneys across the world.

I don't ever remember actually believing in Santa Claus ... I have a feeling that my parents probably focused less on "Santa' than they did on the "spirit of Christmas" (i.e. peace, joy, giving of yourself) and so there was no "aha" moment when I realized Santa wasn't real. If I ever did actually believe in Santa I am sure my older brother disabused me of that notion as soon as it was voiced!

I was in kindergarten, my friend was raised as an atheist. She told me there was no Santa Claus or any other false images we tell children about.
She also told me how there was no God.
I didn't believe her then, at least, I didn't want to...

there was a man.. st. Nicholas, i believe from another country and once a year he gave gifts to the needy and let them down the chimney by way of rope, he died i believe in his sixties.. true story.
