Ok, so my girlfriend and I go to separate colleges and were trying to make this work between us. But as of late, it has been going kind of down hill. And I was suppose to go with her to her home in another state for winter break and she said that it would be in our best interest to just take a “BREAK”. What does break mean to you? Now I will quote something that she said exactly…”I’m still and will be faithful to you its just that were not treating each other well and I deserve a break from it”.

Does taking a break mean that she is actually taking a break? Or does it mean that she could be testing her waters? And if so should I be loyal and take her word for it? Or seek the waters as well?

STICKY situation that I hate, and don’t enjoy seein. I just dont want to be lead on and hurt...

Advice would be great. Thanks!!

I guess the reason why we are taking a break is because we are arguing too much as of late... and I guess the little things I do annoy her and each time I say i'll fix it I wind up going back to my old ways... EHH

First off ask yourself what you want. Your young and have your whole life ahead of you. So take it for what it is a break. Do it - don't call, tell somone else your good news or fun you had that day. Then after two weeks ask yourself if you want to keep the relationship. Do you love her because you need her or do you need her because you love her. Ahh to be young and in love is one of the most painful parts of growing up. I married for the 1st time at 42 and had my 1st child at 44. I too am still growing and learning and having 1st time experiences and so will you well into your 90's.

hello first thing to do is check yourself and see why she telling you we have not been treating each other well call her and be open with her then ask her what do she mean about that when she said let's get a break she is thinking about the relationship you and her needs to trust each other more deeper and do not worry so much.

Kyle,
The "take a break issue....she means{to see other ppl}"...Just b/c she said " she will be faithful" don't mean nothing. As myself a female,i've been married to my hubby for almost 9 yrs,and i've been faithful this whole time....my hubby did cheat on me,but we did work everything out!
Honestly if you hold on to her you are crazy hun,b/c she will be seeing other guys in college..and hell who knows you may meet someone better than she is/was to you.Good luck to you.
