Evaporation and melting cools the air because the process needs to absorb heat. So rain usually cools the air. If there is condensation from damp air, then this process releases heat so it could warm the temperature. I think changes in pressure are what effect joints, but I'm not positive. Many people experience joint pain with approaching weather systems and the corresponding atmospheric pressure change...this is where "front porch forecasting" comes from.

The rain could effect the temperature but it wouldnt be anything dramatic unless the rain is caused by a cold front. Then with the passing front the temperature would greatly cool.

Your joints hurt when it rains because there is a lot of moisture in the air. Just like if your hair would frizz and become thicker because of the moisuture, bones also tend to expand. When this happenes there is more rubbing against each other and it causes pains. This is why right before it is going to rain, when theres a lot of moisture, people will begin to feel pain in their joints.

Yes, on rainy days the temperature is lower beacause as water molecules evaporate, it takes away heat to gain enough energy to escape into the atmosphere. However, your joints generally have nothing to do with the temperature. On rainy days the air pressure is lower, make your joints ache. If it really bothers you, then consult a doctor.
