WOW! Less than 10 days 'til Christmas! Any late bloomers out there? Just want to hear from people who are NOT scrooges or religiously freaked as in 'can't say the word 'christmas', please. Thanks!

Are we ever really truly ready? Or is it a state of mind? Yeah the cards are out or were out until I found them on the visor in the van after I asked my "significant other" to mail them. If it had not been for my religion I would be doing time about now. So as of now, again, my cards are out. My state of mind tells me I am ready, but then I remember the two shopping bags of gifts that have to be wrapped, oh and I still haven't done the menu for Christmas day, there goes that darn state of mind again, hell I will have some eggnog (heavily laced with vodka) and not worry about whether I am ready or not (the hell with the state of mind) and continue the eggnog until 1/1/07. Hopefully then, I can find my state of mind and get that peace of mind that comes from starting early in the year to be ready for Christmas - next year
: - ) !!!!!!!! Have a Blessed Christmas.

I don't send Christmas cards, they're a completely empty gesture. I finished my shopping the week of Thanksgiving. My partner hasn't even started hers yet.

I guess the question is: ARE YOU...ready for christmas? If so, any response from other people aren't important. Sorry, you didn't want scrooge type of responses, ok, umh, hum, let's see, wow...golly gee whiz...ah.......yeah, I am.

I am still buying crap on Christmas Eve; even when I think I'm done, I think of something else I need.
