Starbucks gift cards are always a hit. You could ask for an empty tall cup with a lid and put the card in it with some tissue paper. Then you can give to a man or a women.

I was having the same issue, but I decided on a DVD - The DaVinci Code. It was 14.99 at Target. Pirates of the Caribbean II just came out as well. Best Buy gift cards are always good.

I think movie gift certificates are great. Everyone can choose their own type of show to go to, and they are totally gender neutral. In many cases, extra movie cash can also be used on refreshments at the theater, so it is a "win/win" for the attendees.
