i have this friend and i found out yesterday dat she cuts her self. n it really hurt me n i dont know how 2 help her.... wat could i do?

Perhaps stop focusing on how it hurt you and concentrate on her. Talk to her, find out what is wrong with her life that has caused her to act out in this way. Chances are she just wants attention. But if you think she's doing serious harm to herself, PLEASE go to her parents! It doesn't matter if that's not what a cool person (or whatever the lingo kids use these days is) would do. Cutting is serious business and needs to be treated as such. I used to work in a hospital and I saw numerous young kids come in with nasty infections from cuts that went too deep.

this is going to sound mean but its best to blunt about things. tell her to open her eyes and stop being stupid, there are so many other things going on in the world and she is just wasting her time cutting her self, she isnt living her life but rather wants attention if she feels like she cant do what she wants then tell her to shut up again because its her choice and so far she's making bad ones there stupid and pointless and dont take pitty on her. if she's cutting she might aswell kill herself but she hasnt, which means she wants attention.

For the most part there always depressed, so try and be there for her and bring lots of happiness to her life.

try talking 2 her with a counsler ask why does she do that
