From yesterday, I have been feeling sharp twinges in my abdomen. Its under my tummy more closer the the pubic bone. they are are irregular and mainly in the evening for a hour or 2. Should I be worried or is this normal for a first pregnancy?

It's Normal just a sign that your belly it's stretching. If u feel a pain like menstrual cramps or notice any bleeding contact or go see your doctor right away.

Hi there,
Don't be worried. I just saw my doctor for the same thing. This is my first pregnancy and i'm about 14 weeks and have been experiencing the same kind of pains in the abdomen and pubic bone. My doctor explained to me that these pains are completely normal especially in first time pregnancies. There are round ligaments (uterine lining) and these need to double in thickness to support the baby that is growing so you will have them often. There is no need to worry unless there is blood or if they get so severe that you are unable to move. You're gonna be just fine:) Congrats!

I had an same soreness on the right area purely above my thigh. I reported the rfile and he reported it replaced into generic stretching pains because the uterus is evidently starting to be. even if it truly is not followed by any bleeding then you are probable ok yet when your nevertheless worried see your rfile. Congratulations!!!! Megan, 15 weeks pregnant

at ten weeks a lot of stuff is going on with you and your baby. it could just be gas my wife said that she had sharp pains in her stomach throughout all 3 of her pregnancies. If it is something you are at all concerned about call your OB's (if you have one at ten weeks) office the nurse will be more than happy to talk to you about it and if needed will have you come in. if you don't have one yet and you are worried call one of those ask a nurse hotlines they could help you out as well

You need to call your doctor and if you don't have one yet go to the ER, you're still early in your pregnancy and this is an important time. It may be nothing but it's better to be sure.
