Ok, do you remember when the Hobo asked the kid if he believed in ghosts..... and the kid said no....then the hobo guy says, "interesting" then he disappeared into the blizzard?
Yeah, he was the ghost that saved the conductor from falling off of the train when he was little. Cuz the conductor had said that when he was little he was on the top of that train and he slipped and fell BUT yet he never fell OFF of the train. Then the little girl said, "An Angel saved you" or something like that. Then the conductor said, "maybe."
But, I found out that it was actually the hobo that had saved him.
If you don't understand any of this watch the movie over and over until you DO understand what I'm telling you. And what the hobo is.
He's the "Angel".

I think it was an imaginary person the kid kept seeing.
