Best to get a tutor. I have a real problem with the way schools teach mathematics - it's taught to the "No Child Left Behind" criteria, which basically wants the average student to do as well as possible on standardized test. It's a lousy way to teach.
You need to learn concepts. You need to understand WHY something is mathematically logical, not simply ordered that it is and told to perform mindless problems. Most HS math problems don't actually help you understand at all - it's simple a recipe to memorize. Then kids like you, who are intelligent, get screwed.
My suggestion is tell your folks to spend some bucks on a tutor and insist that he/she teach you fundamental concepts. You'll do better.

Try doing all of the homework. The only way to understand math is to practice. For each homework problem you don't understand, ask your teacher. The night before a quiz/test, look over your homework sheets and even make up some problems. Good luck!

have you actually tried studying? geometry isn't really that hard; it's a lot easier than algebra! all you have to do is remember a bunch of formulas and theorems. there's no quick fix--i mean, you could cheat on your tests, but then you'd risk getting caught, and i doubt that'd help your gpa very much. study study study! memorize the formulas, they're not very hard. if you want to remember something, short term anyhow, repeat it 16 times. that way you'll at least be prepared for any upcoming tests. or you can get that new computer pen, what's it called? they advertise it on tv, fly something or other...anyhow, get that and get the geometry software that comes w/ it. maybe that will do the trick, shrug.
here's the link to their website, click on 'school tips'>>>>>

* Ask the teacher about any extra credit opportunities - DO THEM!
* Befriend the teacher - ask questions, give extra time to meet with him/her if you can, and take GOOD NOTES!
* Make a study group with two or so people from the class so that you can work together in a fun way.
* Think positive - YOU CAN DO IT! :o)
Best of luck to you!

Why don't you talk to your teacher and see if he/she will tutor you more after school? I am sure he/she knows what you are having trouble with.
Good Luck!!!
