Absolutely not. Grossman has to continue to grow as a quarterback for the Bears to win the Superbowl. Griese isn't going to take them there. He didn't do it in Denver or Tampa Bay, he's a good backup. Has Grossman even started 20 regular season games yet? He's had some awful games, but they got to give the guy a season, at least. The Bears ARE 11-2 with him starting.

I have seen Grossman both vilified and praised when this question has been asked. The bottom line is that he is not a very good QB and figures to bomb in the playoffs against a good defense. Are the Bears good enough to over come this? Questionable, since they have played a very soft schedule and have lost to two AFC teams.

Rex Grossman is a wild card... at the same time as "good" Rex shows up, he's large...regrettably undesirable Rex generally shows up, and at the same time as he does- he's undesirable My problem with Rex is he received't carry himself responsible for his faults. He can in no way admit he has a nasty sport, it truly is continually someone elses fault (operating example, at the same time as the Bears lost very last New Years Eve to the Packers he reported he wasn't somewhat concentrated, because he replaced into wondering about New Years Eve and the events. persons, i'm no longer making this up) I somewhat have a demanding time assisting a participant who thinks that can do no incorrect, who thinks they're above all and dissimilar else, and maximum significantly- he's so cavalier about a loss!!

They are 11-2 with Grossman as their starting QB.
They are ELEVEN and TWO with Grossman as their Starting QB.
Did I say.........they are 11-2 with Grossman as their starting QB?
Seriously, I would treat the remaining games as if they were pre-season. Get Grossman some playing time to keep him from getting rusty......er........and get Griese some playing time in case you need him.

Replace No, but I would let Griese play against the Bucs. Griese is a damn good quarterback, with 9 years experience. I would let him play at least the 2nd half against the Bucs. But Grossman would remain the Bears Starter.

Theres a history of bad QBs winning it all.
Look at Trent Dilfer of the Ravens in 2000. Worst QB of all time, but the D won the Super Bowl for them.
I thought Jeff Hostetler of the Giants in 1990 was a miserable piece of sh*t. But they won.
I dont see Lovie Smith benching him. Theyve gotten to 10-2 with him. Dont get me wrong, i think Rex Grossman SUCKS. But i just dont see him getting benched.
"If it aint broken, dont fix it">>> 10-2 aint broken.

Yes since they have clinched a playoff seed they should EXPERIMENT w/ Griese and if he does well maybe even start him in the playoffs.
