My mother used to do that all the time and all 7 of her children are still alive.
Your beef was fresh, so long as the meat was very cold when you mixed it, and your hands and utensils were perfectly clean, it will be fine.
Otherwise, there is nothing wrong with cooking the patties, draining them and freezing them, actually it's alittle more convenient, as you would just have to re-heat them for your lunch :)
as well, when you take the patties out to cook (if they are uncooked), my mother always cooked them from frozen. She rarely defrosted them.

I think you can defrost meat, cook it immediately and refreeze it after it has cooled, and it will be safe to heat up and eat at a later date. You got it right. The problem is when you defrost meat and then refreeze it raw, or defrost meat and let it sit, like you said.

there is not any concern freezing the beef/chicken as quickly because this is been grew to grow to be in to a dish. there are literally some recommendations to verify it remains sparkling: a million. enable the dish cool down before putting it in the freezer (yet no longer in one day or some thing like that) 2. make constructive you keep it in a ideal freezer field (reliable sealed lid) 3. do no longer keep it for more desirable than 3 months before reheating 4. do no longer reheat it then refreeze it. 5. as quickly because this is been reheated it really is more desirable ideal no longer to keep any leftovers so freeze parts that you already know receives used

Once frozen meat has been defrosted it's really not a good idea to refreeze. Once it has be defrosted it has time to develop germ growth etc. Plus refreezing can make the meat not taste as good the next time it's defrosted.

it should be fine, if you defrost it carefully, the refrigerator is best, then just when its defrosted go ahead and make the patties and refreeze,,,, dont leave it sitting around defrosted even in the frig
while you never want to leave meat sitting around after it has been frozen, i have many times bought large packages, brought them home, froze them, taken them out, decided i only wanted to use half,, left them defrost just to point i could break it up/shape it, and refroze, its been fine,,,,

Thaw it out in the ice box not on the counter and it should be ok! It will take a while though. Why not make your patties and cook them, then freeze them. When needed take out and throw in mickie mic (microwave) oven to heat them.

of course it will be fine, as long as the meat doesnt sit out, thawed for more than a day or two. i do it all the time, buy bulk amount of it, break it apart and then re freeze it.
