Hey Brian
Numbers about the number of people who watched the 2006 final are hard to quantitatively measure(since such numbers dont include those who watch in bars, restaruatnts, etc) It only accounts for households of which a little over 1 billionin households watched the WC final(like any other WC final). Including bars, etc.. over 2.5 billion.
NFL Superbowl(last once btwn the seahawks and steelers) was watched a little less than an avg SB but it still drew 90 million in the US(typical is closer to 100 million)
Plus outside the US, about 10 million watched the SB for a total of 100 million(most of these 10 million were in England). Including bars, probablyu close to 140-150 in the US

Oh come on... You don't expect us to count one by one??

There might be aliens that watched the World Cup 2006...Lol...

More than 1 billion people, I think... You've idea how many people in this world who were watching.

Even poor countries like Africa or whatever place it was, they had a very TV just to watch the World Cup. So maybe they had something to watch in North and South Pole...

Haha!

Television coverage in 213 countries
An average of 314.1 million viewers per match.

That is more than the total population of the USA (man, woman and child) watching each game :-)
