My grandma got that from a blood transfusion in the 80's, and I studied about this in my phlebotomy class. If you have unprotected sex of course you have a chance of getting it, and there is a 1 in 8 chance that your baby will get it. There is really no known way to prevent the baby from getting it. I dont know if there is any other way to go about doing that safely or medically, but have a talk with your doctor.
