You need to get the TPS checked...Throttle Position Sensor

If that is not the problem,it could be that the Throttle Body needs cleaning...Both of these are possible.

Many things can cause that problem...
1. Torque converter.
2. Map/Maf sensor. Take it off and spray it with electrical cleaning fluid or starting fluid will also work... ( don't just spray on it... Take it off and spray on the sensors...
3. Idle too low; however it's doubted because it didn't have that problem before so if it's just happening turning the idle up would only serve as a temporary fix until it blows the fuel pump...
4. Fuel pump... Just because the fuel pump is working doesn't mean that it's working properly.
5. Restricted exhaust could cause this problem.
6. TPS... (throttle positioning sensor) serves as sort of a reistor to the voltage supply to the fuel pump...
Many, Many things can cause this problem... It's good to take it to a garage or backyard mechanic who can do these check...

It's quite an extensive rundown procedure sometimes...

I was hoping you got a good answer to this question, because mine is doing the same thing. My mechanic changed out my fuel filter, but that didn't stop it from cutting off going down the road.
My ABS and BRAKE light comes on just before it happens.
Hope we find a good answer!

If the vehicle is operating a nasty battery wont kill the motor. attempt checking your alternator and replacing the battery. continually good idea to change the battery at the same time as replacing the alternator.
