Obviously I didn't make my problem clear last question.

I have been playing this game RCT3 no problems with sound on my PC up until yesterday. Now when I load the game up my PC forgets it has speakers, it says there are no audio devices in control panel and volume control prgram does not work. No sound whatsoever anywhere.
As soon as I exit RCT3 however, my pc goes back to normal and speakers are back.
It is not a copyed game.
would just like some technical advice please

No Joshua please read the question. When I load RCT the speakers are no longer recognised by the PC. THey are nowhere to be seen in control panel/audio devices. They are gone, disappeared, vanished. It has nothing to do with the game menus.

i understand you, this has happened to me a few times, once when i installed a tesco internet phone
you should first go to control panel and then sound and audio devices and obviously there is no audio devices,go to the audio tab and were the playback box is ,drop this box down and check to see if there is a device in there, you may find that it is,you should then select that device and remember to apply and then ok
this should also be done with recording, and midi palyback and again apply and press ok
if this dosent work then its a case of re-installing your audio drivers which means going to control panel>system properties>hardware>device manager>then go to sound and multimedia and expand the entry
look for your sound device and right click and select properties and then re-install driver, hopefully windows can re-install the driver by searching for it as it must still be in windows somewhere as you havent uninstalled it
this will install your sound drivers and then go back to the sounds in control panel and re-configure your audio settings
these are the ways to reset your sound when a program disables it,i dont know why this happens with some programs,it may have something to do with incompatible audio settings within a game,or a conflict but whatever it is its bloody annoying
anyway give these a go and i am sure it will give you your sound back
note...i have played the r.c.t 3 demo and had no probs with the audio after, however my audio set up could be different to youre...i use a nvidia nforce 3 chipset audio driver
good luck mate and let me know if this works

I would suggest looking around inside the game to see what the sound configuration is. Seeing as the speakers work outside the game I assume that they are recognised and the driver is working correctly

because of the fact the project impacts all sounds then its a situation with the sound card or onboard audio gadget all audio units have some style of administration panel, the administration pnels to your audio are the two on top of issues panel in abode windows or you will detect a software contained in the initiate menu(initiate>courses and accesories) verify on your sound supervisor that no postpone or the different outcomes have been enabled,in the event that they have disable them in case you're utilising a pci-bus sound card, attempt utilising the intergrated sound(onboard) and see if it the sound is okay utilising that for the duration of that case then it looks like your sound card is fualty, some style of electric powered fualt thats inflicting the severe pitch substitute on your sound, you will would desire to interchange the sound card although in case you're utilising a onboard audio gadget, then its the choice, you will would desire to purchase a pci sound card and making particular you have a loose pci-slot set up this and then set up the offered drivers observe:previously you do any changes I even have defined attempt a gadget restoration, restoration to apoint previously immediately,2 days in the past must be nice, this might cancel out any application issues inflicting the project, good luck mate

You didn't say whether you changed any game settings in RCT3 since the sound was working properly. Check the properties of the .exe file to see if it suits your operating system etc.
If you changed nothing, then re-install your game.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.

Have you enough memory?... Sometimes if you only have the minimum requirements to run games they forego the sound to allow you to play... Good luck and i hope you get this resolved...
