I'm 5 weeks pregnant with my first, and wondering how soon an ultrasound can pick up the baby's heartbeat? Is it totally amazing when you do hear it?

To Kendra G - God you mist be totally bitter, how about you don't answer questions you are not able to answer, you're probably like 12. Some people want to know what other peoples experiences are. Obviously not everybody is just as smart as you are, you stuck up which. I bet you enjoy making pregnant woman feel bad, maybe because you are not able to get pregnant. Have a great day.

Since I had prior miscarriages the Dr had me come in because of some spotting and I was 7 weeks pregnant at the time. I heard his little heart beat... girl I was bawling my eyes out... tears of freaking joy 9 months later I got a giganta baby boy. Now I have 2 boys (a 4 & 5yr old)and I just found out I'm expecting our 3rd baby (Lord Willing, I'm having slight spotting still). Congrats! relax take it easy and enjoy it.

I don't know when they can see it on an ultrasound, but with mine the doctor was able to find it with the doppler at 10 weeks. He did say that there was a good chance he wouldn't be able to though, and it wouldn't be unusual if I had to wait until my 14 weeks appointment to hear it. I think with an ultrasound it can be seen around 7-8 weeks, but I'm not positive. Both ways it depends on your particular baby, whether your dates are correct, and the skill of the doctor or technician in finding it.

With a transvaginal ultrasound they can find it early, like 6 weeks or so, but with jsut the doppler, around 10 weeks and on...I heard my babies heartbeat starting at 10 weeks. Yes ist amazing and wonderful to hear.

It is totally amazing when you hear it for the first time! It lets you know he is there!... I know my first check up I was 4 weeks and they let me hear it, well it is mandatory to make sure his/her heartbeat is doing like it should... they didnt do any ultrasound to where i could see the baby until i was 5 months preg.

toddler's heartbeat will gradual as they get farther alongside. For that drop to ensue in a month, i might suspect that's tremendously prevalent. My 2d son's heartbeat dropped from a hundred thirty to ninety interior of each week, THAT ended up transforming into to be an argument. i might say you have not got something to be concerned approximately nevertheless. good luck!
