There is a formula. I used to have it memorized and could complete the cube in around 60 seconds without even looking at it after I started. Basically you line up one corner, then start with the formula. You can probably get the formula online.

i thought when you buy one it comes with directions on how to help solve it. i bought one a few years ago and i thought mine came with that.
