I got it for the first time in August. I don't know if I should tell my mom, but I've been REALLY irregular!!!!!
Here's how they go:
1st one- Aug. 6-10 (5 days long)
2nd one- Aug. 30-Sep. 4 (25 days later, 6 days long)
3rd one- Sep. 30- Oct. 2 (31 days later, 3 days long)
4th one- Nov. 8- Nov. 13 (39 days later, 6 days long)
5th one- Nov. 28- Dec. 3 (15 days later, 6 days long)
6th one- Dec. 15 (now)-? (18 days later)
I don't know, should I wait and see, tell her, or what? Why is this? Is there anything that can make them only come once a month????

It sounds pretty regular to me. She does know that you are on your period? Periods are very weird when you first start them. When I was your age, I'd have mine for a 5 days then not have it for another two. I went to the obgyn and they said as long as it remains the same (which yours are) its fine. Talk to your mom about it and see what she says perhaps she can help you ease your queiries.

First of all there is no problem in telling mum about this. It is such a perfectly normal thing at your age you should not be worried or ashamed at all. Also with the onset of your periods your hormones will be all over the place just now so it may just take a little time to settle down. As your worried it won't harm to talk to your GP about this with your mum as it is possible to regulate these things with tablets if it causes you a problem. The main thing is to stop worrying about this in secret and get advice and support so you can be happy about your new status as a fully functioning woman. Best wishes to you over Christmas and the New Year.

I suggest you talk to your Mom. Maybe you could go to the doctor and ask about birth control. I suggest that only for regulating your period, not to say go out and have sex. It does help control how often you have your periods and the Doctor could also answer any questions you might have. Never be afraid to ask! It's your body and you have a right to know what you can do to feel better and less concerned. I also hope you have a close enough relationship with your Mother that you would be able to talk to her about this. It's nothing to be embarressed about. It's just another part of life. Please, Don't be ashamed.

Yes, tell your mom. But don't freak out. A lot of women have irregular periods. The cause could be anything. You should go to a doctor. Depending on your age, they can give you something that can give you a more consistent cycle.

when i was still single i've never had a regular period, sometimes in a year i just have 2 periods, then it goes alternate, and happend to have 2 periods in one months as well but i don't have boyfriend at all. not until i meet my husband it goes regular for only a few months but then it comes back again to irregular, and it took me nearly 3 years to bear a baby. they said there's something could be done with your hormones. but if you are scared just try to see a doctor, but i bet it's only normal to have an irregularity of our monthly period, as long as you have period every month that's fine.

You should let your mom know. That's nothing to get in trouble about. I'm pretty sure she will just take you to see a OBGYN. Sometimes that happens to females.
