Well, it all depends on what makes an A.
If we assume A is 90% and above, then you need x such that
x/65>=90% or x= 58.5 at least.
This is based on the assumption that the A accounts just for this test or it is the A on this test alone, not the whole course.

that depends on the grading scale. For example, if you have a 10 pt scale, with anything over 90 an A, you need to get 90 percent of 65 which is 59 correct. If you have a 6 pt scale you need to get 94% correct which is 62 correct. In general if you need to get at least n% correct for an A, you need n% x 65. For example, suppose the test is very hard and the teacher grades on a generous curve so that 80% is an A. Then you'd need 80% of 65 which is .8 x 65 = 52 correct.

i dont know what an a would be considered at your school but..if it's an 93% do this..
93/100=0.93
0.93 X 65= 60.45
so you would have to get 61 right
but if your school considers a 90 an A then do this..
90/100=0.90
0.90 X 65= 58.5
so you would have to get 59 right

The usual grading scale is
90%-100% ---> A
80%-89% ----> B
70%-79% ----> C
60%-69% ----> D
0%-59% ------> F
So, if each correct answer is worth 1 point, you need at least 90% * 65 = 58.5 points in order to get an A (59 correct answers out of 65 will do).

65 questions - 100 points
x questions - 90 points (minimum for an A)
x =( 65 questions * 90 points ) / 100 points
x = 58.5 questions or the whole number is 59 questions.
However, if you have a nice teacher, he will give you an A for 58 correct solved questions.
Good luck!!!

i don't know the exact math, but i know that you need at least 54 questions right, im pretty sure. But that would make an A- or a B+. It all depends on the ammount of points the teachers are planning to give for each question and if the test is one of those that give like, 150 points or something. It really depends.
