This is a little, but can grow, conflict. This is regarding 2 friends and a couple. I'm in middle in school, and you nkow, in middle schools rumours can grow big and serious. When I wasin math class, my friend Katherine, told me that Mac admitted that he was bisexual to chloe(Mac's current girlfriend). IWe wenren't the only ones in this conversation. Multiple people heard it. Even MAc's friends Tori and Amanda. After my math class, I went down to the locker room to change, and MAc was there. So I told Mac everything Katherine told me. Then, at the end of the school day, I saw Chloe and Mac talking. Then Chloe began to talk louder. So, I overheard it, snice we were going down the same narraw stairwell. To, get Chloe attention, I said "who me you're talking about?". She said "NO! Katherine!". But still I don't feel confident with that. I just tried to tell Mac early that saomeone was spreading romours about him. I thnk Chloe was crying went she ran out of the school.

I think you need to speak to Mac again. He's got no reason to hold a grudge with you, and you need to reiterate that you're his friend. If you suddenly start avoiding him, he may wonder if you're on his side or not. Don't mention it straight away, pass the time of day with him as normal. If he's quiet with you, ask him if everything's okay.

The only situation where you should have to explain yourself would be if he tried to blank you or blame you.

Why didn't you tell Katherine that you didn't want to hear it
What goes on between Mac and Chloe is their business?
In the first place Katherine should have kept quiet, it was none of her business; things like this is how people's feelings get hurt and one simple statement is blown way out of proportion.
Just remember as teens grow into adults this will soon come to a pass.
I guess one way would be to go to Mac and Chloe and give them your sincerest apologies and promise never to get involved in something like that ever again, as for Katherine in future speak up a little. You're her friend and you should tell her when you believe something is not right.

motto of the story? don't tell things that you don't want spread around, ESPECIALLY when you're in High School. Loyalties aren't that strong in High School yet and a person will turn on you, sometimes just trying to look cool or stay in the "IN" crowd.....If I were you? I'd back out of it quick
