I manage a Tanning salon. I hired this girl back in February, to be one of my staff memebers. She actually ended up be pretty awesomem in a lot of ways. We became really good friends, and she also became my assistant manager. Back in Oct, I left the company and started a different job. And they promoted her to Manager of a the salon. Well, that job didn't work out, so i wanted to go back to the salon. So i did, they ended up demoting Heather, only because she wasnt doing a good job at managing. And she's really pissed, she says she knows its not my fault, but I just dont believe her, i think she blames me... What should I do, how do i approach things?

Explain to her that this makes you uncomfortable too. You did not plan on coming back and it was not your decision to give you this role at the salon. Tell her you still want to be friends, because you honestly like hanging out with her.

there is not much you can do about it!!!! you can either talk to her or let the time past and forget about it. If U talk to her and you are that close as a friend you said she may be reasonable and understand it wasnt your fault; but if she was only your friend for a while she may be jealous and make your life miserable @ wrk. Just try to be the same person as you were bfore you left and let the time past, talk to her normal and one day ask her if she wants to talk about it; if not just let it be.

Just tell her that you know it may seems awkward with your coming back and you are sorry for the position you are both in but you would still like very much to be her friend and that you don't want this awkwardness to get in the way.

talk to her and say that you're very very sorry but keep the job anyway because you are good at it.
