i was told that babies around that age starts noticing the sense of feel, especially on their tongue. i have a 3 month old that sticks his tongue out to feel the coldness of the air. now he's sticking his fingers in his mouth. it's completely normal. just watch out...babies have the knack to start sticking almost anything in their mouth soon...

O yes kids around that usually do that. They have discovered that they have a tongue. My son did the same thing and it drove me nuts he didn't stop sticking his tongue out like that until he was probably a year old. But yes it's normal and there's nothing to worry about.

My son did the same thing and so did my nephew. As my son got older he started keeping his tongue in his mouth but when the wind blew he would open his mouth and stick his tongue out :) He will stop doing it shortly dont worry!!!

Nothing to worry about. My friend's baby does it (he's 2 now) and the Dr. said he had a "heavy tongue" but it's nothing to worry about.

No, there is nothing wrong with that, he is only 4months. But if it bothers you to much ask the pediatrician. But I'm pretty sure everything is fine.
