alright so im really good with computers but i dont know what this is .. no one ever goes on my dads side so last night my brother went on it and it said like genuin windows and it said you might be a victim of counterfitting! it popped in the corner of the start page so he did a system restore and now its gone .. do you think its spyware or a virus? im not sure! i have great protection! i did try deleting my dads side once because no one ever uses it and it froze like when i clicked okay so i had to exit out of it .. do you think that has something to do with it? should i just leave it alone or call someone to get it fixed?

It's adware trying to sell you a product. Theres a huge difference between a trojan virus and adware, look it up. If it was a trojan virus a system restore wouldn't fix it either..

It sounds like adware has gotten on your machine. run a malware scan using a malware protection product with the latest updates. Make sure your Windows patches are up to date as well.

I thought you were good with computurs. I am terrible so don't have the foggiest about what you are on about, so I suggest you take the computer someplace to get sorted.

yea, some people have that, but don't worry its not a virus, you just don't have genuine windows (you won't get some Window updates and stuff).....just click "fix later"...

you can leave it alone and your 'puter will work fine but over time, it will start doing more and more funny stuff.......
your best bet is to call someone who knows how to analyse and repair your "registry".

Good luck !
