A phobia is defined as an unreasonable fear of something so many people can't understand why some are afraid of chins or clowns. These phobia sufferers need help to overcome their unreasonable fears.

Fear is usually a mental response for self-preservation. There is nothing wrong with being afraid of things which can hurt you. I am a construction worker, my fear of heights is something that keeps me safe when using ladders or scaffolding. (actually, I'm not afraid of heights but falling from them)

I'm afraid of people throwing up! My mom was sick a lot when I was little and threw up all the time.....and now I have this knee jerk panic reaction when somebody throws up. It's the most f'ed up feeling. Like being electrocuted or something....Rationally I know there is nothing to be afraid of, but when I'm in the situation I can't control my fear. Phobias are weird sh*t

Actually, I understand the fear of peanut butter. I've experienced that one once when I was young. I smoked some weed then ate some peanut butter and suddenly had the fear. It was horrible.

AIRBAGS.

everytime I go driving with my boyfriend, I get soo scared because he likes to stop really fast and close to the other cars....

Im not sure where my fear came from, I think it was when my grandpa hit deer and totaled my moms truck and the airbag got him really bad...broke glasses, messed up nose, blackened eyes, etc.
I wear glasses and they're not cheap so broken glasses is a major no, don't want my nose broken or messed up, and black eyes- I don't care who you are they're not attractive.

The sucky part is my boyfriend refuses to let me buy a truck without airbags....

I'd rather hit my head on the steering wheel than have an airbag make me all screwed up. but on the downside of hitting my head on the steering wheel I'm ALSO terrified of stitches.

so airbags and stitches...
