Yes, very much - the guy I'm talking to now is, well, sort of a jerk sometimes, but music is a part of both of our lives in a big way, and he's the only one I've ever been able to have an intelligent conversation about music with - it makes him sorta sexy to me.

Hell, yes!! It's sad to say but when I meet a guy who has similar taste in music as I do, it's always good. That means we share a connection with something that we both love. It's almost a spiritual thing. I have interesting taste in music for my age. I'm only 20 but I love the old school stuff way more than this stupid booty music that all sounds the same. My favorite band is Earth, Wind, & Fire. However, if a guy is really interested in a type of music I'm not familiar with, it could make me want to learn more about it...

yeah i think its great, then you can both listen to the music you like and i know a guy that kinda got interested in a girl because they were talking on the internet one time and he asked what she was doing and she was listening to music and he asked what she was listening to and it just happened to be his favorite band in the whole entire world (dashboard confessional, theyre awesome, check them out) and after that he totally has his eye on her for quite some time, actually he still does... anywho, yeah i think it helps, but if you dont have the same taste in music im sure you can work around it.

I used to think like that when I was younger!
Now I'm fairly easy going, music is very personal and so it doesn't attract me to a person.....although if they were the one making it and I liked them it would be attractive.
That said I would find it harder to be attracted to someone that listened to the top ten greatest lift tunes or some such drivel!

I love a girl that listens to Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, anything grunge really. It's so attractive. Blind Melon... you'd have me doing backflips.

Yes its definitely important, if music is a big part your life, it creates a kind of shared empathy and you feel on the same wavelength. Been there, done that, miss it!

No. My taste in music is very peculiar. I like anything which sounds as different from other music as it's possible to get.

my husband like music and i do as well, but he put music next to his sports while i put music next to sports. but that's not what i based on why i get attracted to him, there are lots of certain things that you might get attracted to man not just to one thing. but me i look particularly the personal aspect not just the hobbies...but it could help as well if you both have the same likes...
