Same as it ever was. From your perspective, it's declining, because your memories may be based on the innocence and ignorance of youth, and old timer's stories of the good old days. We all grow up to realize that the world can stink.
The world has never been any better. There's always been war, murder, rape, poverty, disease, corruption, and dishonesty. On the up side, you can always find a smile, a helping hand, charity, and benevolence, as long as you look at yourself and become the source of these good things.

I know. I ask myself that every day when I wake up and when I go to bed. I dont understand why and I may never understand, but if I can get through this life, and touch at least one person in my travels, I can die happy and in peace.
