what makes you think that any are across the board simply right or wrong? have you not considered perhaps that it is situational? for example a thousand years ago or even less really... a 14 year old boy was considered a man. but the thing is, a 14 year old of that time, is not the same as a 14 year old of this time. in the modern world we allow/encourage childhood to last as long as it can. where then, 14 was equivalent to modern day mid-20's! if the expected lifespan for the average person is 30-40, going through puberty at 10-15 is NOT "such a young age" it only seems like such because people commonly live past 60 and its not unusual to see 100+ year old people in existence. where 1000 years ago if you saw a person anywhere near 100, it was a much much much bigger deal. think of it this way. maybe its not supposed to be a specific number of laps around the sun after birth, but a matter of physical capacity and emotional maturity. even nowadays some 14 year olds might be more mature and emotionally ready for sex than some 20 year old's, (thats an extreme example, most are much more in between than that... which is why thats where the law in the modern world usually puts the legal limit) heres a secret. you don't suddenly become more mature on your 18th birthday.

Here's how i see it. There is no magic age. When you should be having sex is when you realize if you were to have a baby, you'd 100% be able to support it. Financially, mentally, physically, exc. If you are at a point in life where you can't handle a child- DONT HAVE SEX... Seriously, the amount of babies born to unprepared parents is rediculous. There are so many other ways to have fun without sex. So if you're ready and responsible, should you have a child. Then go a head and do it. That age can be anywhere between 18- 40....Depends on maturity. I'd say anyone under 18 is not ready to be a parent.

It really depends on you, and your partner. I began when I was 16, but i was pretty mature for a 16 year old, (mentally, not physically) my younger sister on the other hand is 16 now and has no plans of having sex anytime soon. I guess whenever you feel comfortable enough with the other person is a good time to discuss it. Before you do act on anything really think about it and be prepared (condoms!) I know this sucks but you really need to talk to your parents about birth control or check out planned parenthood or another clinic if you really can't dicuss it with the parents (go to the clinic before having sex!)

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiight...for your friend.
Most people believe (no matter what they say to your face) that anyone who starts having sex before they are 18 is a sl** and a who***. Sex should only be between consenting ADULTS and those who are financially responsible for the baby they will surely end up having.
