Avoid large amounts of alcohol. Sparkling wine for a toast to coming of age would be a nice touch. If you live near the water, 21 friends on a boat for hire would be special. More like a fishing boat for the sporty type, and more like a dinner and dancing no-host event for the more sophisticated launch into adulthood.
