The pill will help regulate women who have sporadic cycles. Once they go off the pill the hormones remain in their system for a few months, their cycles become regular, and this way a woman may calculate when she is ovulating. According to my OB/GYN women may also hyperovulate (release more than one egg) during this time and may end up with multiples. My doctor has also told me that their is no evidence that being on the pill for many years will make it any more difficult to conceive. I was on the pill for 9 years and got pregnant the first month I tried.

I think this concept is being taken out of concept. For women who have really irregular cycles, going on the pill briefly may help regulate them for a few months after they stop taking the pill. For instance, if you only have a period every 50-90 days, it can be very hard to get pregnant. If you went on the pill, you might have fairly normal periods (30 days or so) for a few months after going off the pill due to the residule effects upon your hormones. If you already have regular cycles, it is not likely to effect you.

It did for me. I was on the pill for like 5 years when I went off it I was pregnant in like 3 months. So I do think it increases fertility! Good luck

Everyone's body is different, I went off the pill and I'm still not pregnant after several months of trying. There is nothing out there that can make you get pregnant faster or sooner.

No the pills gained't keep your fertility intact, the concern is the eggs grow to be previous. Then your body reduces the estrogen production, the FSH & LH replace. it is at the same time as maximum women go start up menopause. Then there is what's named untimely ovarian failure, it is at the same time as the ovaries supply up generating any estrogen. And the FSH & LH slowly replace. i'm 40-one and only stumbled on i'm between the POV's.

No, actually the longer you are on any sort of birth control, the longer it takes to conceive. She probably just got pregnant and it had nothing to do with the pill.
