Hi! I am looking for some good books to read that are non-fiction in nature. Right now I am really interested in anything that is autobiographical in nature. I am interested in world events and just finished several books about women in Saudi Arabia (The Princess Trilogy by Jean Sasson) and another about women in Iraq. These books were more autobiographical in nature so this is in a sense what I am looking for. But, I am open to anything...if you have a suggestion, I'd love to hear it...even if it doesn't describe what I mentioned above. I am always looking for a good read. A favorite author or your favorite book is a welcome suggestion as well. Thanks for any help you can give me! Happy Holidays, everyone!

Nadia's Song by Khashoggi, Soheir is an excellent book that takes place in the Middle East. Moll Flanders and Roxanna by Daniel DeFoe are also excellent reads.

Well, it depends on how much of an open mind you have, and what you're willing to read, but right now I'm almost finished with Max Wolf Valerio's "The Testosterone Files: My Societal and Hormonal Transition from Female to Male", and it's really, really good. It's an autobiography and deals with Max's transition to becoming a transsexual- even if you're not into that topic (I am), it's still an absorbing book and an eye-opener.

Other than books of that nature, I'm not really too into the non-fiction book scene, but if you'd like something informative and highly entertaining, you should try "Dr. Tatiana's Sex Advice to All Creation" by Olivia Judson (recommended by my biology teacher)- it's very, very funny, written in a Dear-Abby style format. Or someone I knew was reading the book about the man who got trapped in the mountains and had to cut off his arm to live- "Between A Rock and A Hard Place" by Aron Ralston- and said it was really good.

Hope that helps and happy holidays!

I am currently reading the Six Wives of Henry VIII by David Starkey. If you like history, I'd definitely recommend it.
