Right click on the site which has to be deleted and press option delete. Make sure it is not installed in your system. Left click "Start," Settings, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs and find out if the site is installed in your system, if you find it delete it. Some of the unwanted sites even if deleted comes on automatically once Internet Explorer is opened. If the site pop up, make sure you Press the "X" mark only when it pops out and not to press cancel. Even if this does not resolve the problem, you will have to reformat your "C" drive.

Rightclick on the toolbar and disable it. If there is no option, go to Options --> Too;bars and unselect the toolbar that you want to remove. If you are using IE7 or Mozilla Firefox, rightclicking on the bookmark and delete it.

Right click on your internet explorer icon on your desktop. It will have a section under general that says delete all visited sites.

I think when you clean your cache, clear your history and temporary internet files it clears. I could be wrong, but maybe the other people here can correct me on this.
Thanks Erin, that helped me, becaue I wasn't sure myself.
