I think that if could be a good experiment for you to perform the preparation of some salt solutions at different concentrations (for example: 1%, 2%, 5% 10%, 15%, 20% that means 1 gram, 2 grams, etc. per 100 mL of water)

Then put the egg and observe in which solution it begins to float.

On the other hand, I have to advise you that older the egg less concentration of salt you will need so you have to assure that eggs are somewhat fresh. In fact, this simple experiment is used in some places to test the freshness of eggs.

Why old eggs float much more easier than fresh ones? Because there is an air chambre inside each egg that gets more room as time goes by. More air inside, much easier to float for the egg.

Finally, the relation between salinity and buoyancy lies on density differences between salt solution and egg's content. The density of egg's content is generally greater than pure water and it sinks, but as you add salt to the water the density of solution becomes greater that egg's content and egg begins to float.

Hope all this information helps you!

Good luck!
