What does the term metal mouth mean? I hear it is a very early pregnancy sign. Can anyone who has had this symptom describe what it taste like?

Like you have been sucking on a penny. That can also be a sign of an iron deficiency...pregnant or not

It is a taste that you get like you have metal in your mouth , it is hard to discribe, but think of the smell of metal and it taste like that.

You get this metal flavor in your mouth. I have it bad with this pregnancy.
If you get it, my doctor suggested Altoids. And I wish I knew about them earlier...it really helps.

like if you stick a penny in your mouth. sometimes pregnant women get that taste spontaneously.

put a key in your moouth...or aluminum foil... wat does it taste like? metal. if you have the tatse in your mouth w out sucking on a key...thats metal m outh.....either that or u have braces and someones making fun of you
