I want to play softball for my school, but I have no money to purchase the things I need to try out. If I don't try out, it is not a big deal. I want to play though, but softball stuff is really exspensive, and I need the stuff by next week!

HELP!

JenJen is right, "Play It Again Sports" is a used equipment retailer in Southern California. I would look in the Goodwill, Disabled American Vets, or other stores of that type in the area.

Even better: if you know any older high school or recently-graduated-to-college players who have traded up, they might just give you their old stuff and even be willing to give you a few coaching tips.

This isn't exactly the garage sale season, but that is another place. Craigslist.com has a lot of stuff available.

All you'll need to start with is a glove, you can worry about cleats, uniform later. A new one will run you $50+, but look for a used sporting equipment store in your area. We have a couple of them, called Play It Again Sports. Hopefully you won't have to buy your own bat right away. I hope you make it, its so fun, good luck.
