Teach American slang: dude, hey, what's up, totally, cool, awesome, or hang out. That would be fun.

Students of this age are often fascinated by hands-on projects. Try taking a simple science experiment--like a vinegar and baking soda reaction--to try out and talk about. This can lead to descriptive language, as the child explains what happened, and steps in a process. Then make little changes--what happens if you add more baking soda? Would other substances have the same reaction? Record questions, try out answers, and talk about them.
If science isn't your thing, a wordless picture book could also be fun. "Flotsam" by David Wiesner tells a story with no words, and even older kids are drawn in by the pictures and the story it tells.
Finally--find out your student's interests. Nothing will spark learning like a topic that he or she finds interesting.

God no! Don't teach slang, that's tacky and the total opposite of teaching an english class. Watch television programming together and then on the commercial break you can discuss what they liked..hated..didn't understand and you can correct them as they go. Also try going window shopping and tell them to explain the things you look at..cost...styles..what the store sells. You'll be shocked how fast the time passes.
Or bake a cake together and have them tell you the recipe the ingredients and baking direction..
Good luck.
