it was broken three weeks ago and after x-rays the emergency room doctor said it was broken, didn't need pins or screws, just buddy tape it for six weeks t ape it to the next finger and it would be fine. But as of today it isn't swollen but the top part of my finger is bent inward still.. is it healing properly? wililit eventually straighten out?

It take 6 - 8 weeks for a bone to heal. No it is not fully healed yet

i'd call your dr. most of the times in a case of a broken finger. They have you buddy tape it at the base and near the top to make sure it sets right. You might need another x-ray to ensure it set right cause if it set crooked yo'll kinda be stuck with that. So best bet JUST call your doc to make sure it's all cool

It sounds to me like the bones moved aside and were given misaligned hence healed or partly healed improperly. searching on how vast the bulge is and how a lot soreness you're having will probably help ensure on what measures the docs ensure to do the following day. HTH
