gibson or fender?

Question

which one is better and why? which guitar is better with sound??

with Gibson you know you going to get a good guitar. Fender has a lot more to choose from and I think its good for a beginner who wants a good guitar but doesn't know to much about all the different features. Fender also has cooler designs. I personally don't like how heavy the Gibson is but as far as the sound goes I think its great and some of the Fenders are just as good as Gibson

Thats a pretty subjective question. It all depends on what sound and what style your playing and what tone your after. Most Gibsons Les Pauls are made from Mahoganey, which has a very warm sound. Where as Fenders are usually made from either Alder, Ash, poplar or basswood(depending on what model and year) and each of these have different tonal properties, usually brighter than mahoganey. Pickup type and placement both affect a guitars sound too, so you have to keep that into consideration as well. Both Gibson and Fender make good instruments, it just depends on what your after.

that's a hard one because Gibsons has made great guitars with great sounds for example my favorite les paul.. but fender like the telecaster also allows for more variety, not just one type of music but also another.... im sorry but i go for fender

Gibsons sound better and fatter, They are also more versitile I mean lets face it the Les Paul was invented by Les Paul the inventer of the electric guitar and was invented for Jazz but is also the prefered guitar for heavier music and blues.

I find the Fenders (the Strat, in particular) to be much more comfortable to play...thinner bodies, usually a thinner and narrower neck and not nearly as heavy.
