Yes, But Barcelona were exceptional not because of Forreign signings that were attracted by a great league , but for fielding so many of their own home grown talent, which they should be salluted for, Also I don't think any 1 league will dominate the other, Spain will have great teams, Real and Barca but England will have their best players spread around their league and make it more competitive. So good for Spain to reignite their league, and have 2 teams back on top of world football rather than 1, And good for England To even out their league some what, and also still be up there with the best EVERYONES A WINNER!!! True the 2 below are very senisble comments, and if i was level 2 i'd give u a thumbs up!!

Everyone forgets Gullit. It was his move to Chelsea that sparked the influx of foreign stars to the Prem.

But Gullit was on the wane when he came, Denis Bergkamp was truly world-class for many a year and it's between him and the great Schmeichel for me.

If push came to shove, I would choose Denis. Cantona was outstanding, but his contribution was limited only to the prem, because of his self imposed international exile.

It will be hard to get a fair answer here, as almost everyone would stick by club loyalties, in choosing their 'best player'.

King Cantona. Such a character, he was just amazing. He made a huge impact in the league and his antics even though hated by everyone besides man utd supporters have given him a place in leagues history.

It has to be Cantona. He was an influential figure, and he was so controversial it made everyone take notice.
One of the best players ever to grace the Premiership.

Cantona, even if only for his outstanding drop-kick into the stands!

Cantona.

Schmeichel deserves a mention though, you just have to look at the difficulty we had in replacing him.
