I think that he must have a little good because of how he spoke about the Dark Lord in Harry's first "Mind reading" or "Mind Blocking" lesson.

Both
Good - Because is helping fight against Voldmort. Sure he killed Dumbledore, but I think that is all part of that Dumbledore had hatched with Snape. Who knows if Dumbledore is really dead.. He is a crafty old wizard after all.
Bad - because he lets his intense dislike of Harry's Dad (back from when they were in school together, and Harry's dad picked on him a lot) effect his teaching relationship with Harry.

He's good. Since he couldn't get out of his oath with Malfoy's mom, I think he went to Dumbledore and explained the situation. Dumbledore always regretted not being able to save Voldemort from going back and I think he sees Malfoy as a way to re-live the experience and change the way things turned out. He wants to save Malfoy more than anything so he convinces Snape that if push comes to shove he needs to be killed by Snape, not Malfoy. Snape is good!

I think that Snape is on the side of good. I do not believe that Dumbledore is dead. I think that it was a set up. Dumbledores dissembling was just too unreal at the end. He had Malfoy right where he wanted him and then went whiny when Snape appeared. It is not like him. Everyone has said that they wanted to kill Harry for Voldemort, yet Snape saves him by saying that no one is to touch him, he is Voldemorts. He gets angry when Harry tries to use one of his own hexes against him, but then who wouldn't get mad when some one is resisting their help by trying to hurt them....We will see when book 7 arrives tho.

Snape i think was trying to save Malfoy from his own actions and rather than have Malfoy kill Dumbledore the old man asked Snape to do it instead. I think Snape has made himself sort of a protector over Malfoy because in the end the professors and headmaster of Hogwarts do love their students.

My guess is in the last one Snape will die to save Malfoy and Malfoy will die trying to kill Voldemort. Yeah call it wild.

I'm gonna have to go with bad on this one. I mean he killed Dumbeldore. Yeah sure he saved Harry a bunch of times, but when he had to make a pivitol choice, he went and killed Dumbledore. He could have turned and killed a few Death Eaters by surprise, sure he would have been putting himself in great danger, but don't you think that Dumbledore could have hid him somewhere, maybe give him a taste of his own medicine and made HIM stay cooped up in Grimmaud Place.

Snape is bad. the only reasons that he ever helped harry was for his own benifit. he needed to assume the idenity of a member of the order and try to help voldermort. he is a killer with no heart. and he gave harry lesons, but did harry actually learn anything from them, NO!

I think what happened in the sixth book will have deeper meanings than what we perceived. Right now I think Snape is evil, because he got rid of the one person 'you know who' is scared of, however he did it because of the Malfoy boy.

Well, If you think about it, Snape did save Harry in the first so...
Yeah, he's good

i think snape's explanation of his own behavior to Bellatrix Lestrange makes a lot of sense. i know we're always "set up" not to like snape but i always have. i was dumbfounded when he killed voldemort. i think, though, that he is still good. i think that either potter will somehow save his life or snape will again save potter's. voldemort will die and maybe potter dies too but saves snape from voldemort? he sure would hate that :) and i think dumbledore has to come back, like his phoenix.

I think he is ultimately good. I think he killed Dumbledore because Dumbledore asked and expected him to. However, I wonder if he'll ever get over his intense hatred of Harry which he transferred from James.
