Well, certain coldwater like goldfish can survive being in freezing water, but not water that is frozen solid - so, they are okay in water with a crust of ice on it, but they won't survive for long.
However, no fish can be actually frozen solid. When you freeze a liquid, it expands, so the liquid in the fish's cells would expand, destroying the cells and the tissue.

Sure-you can freeze just about anything, really. But it helps if the fish is wet - preserves it better, and it freezes easier. My parents, and mom especially, likes to fish, and our freezer is filled with frozen fish every month.
Trust me, though - you want to put it in a plastic bag of some kind, probably surrounded by ice. The ice preserves it better, and the bag keeps out the terrible smell.

I'd cook from frozen on a lower heat than normal, keep the juices as they may be able to be used in the sauce you are making, then combine your other items and the fishy part together. But remember, you cannot freeze the leftovers unless the fish you used to start with was raw fish. If it was cooked fish you took out of the freezer - give the leftovers to the cat.

Do you mean after it is dead? You can pretty much freeze anything that you put in your freezer if your freezer is working properly. I am not quite sure what you are trying to get at. Do you have a certain purpose for freezing your fish? What will you do with it, leave it in the freezer forever?

Freezing an incurably ill fish is not inhumane, it's actually painless for the fish.
Fish can come back to life (at least, cold water fish) after being frozen for a short time.

Why would you want to? A lot of people will freeze their fish as a form of euthinasia, but I think that is cruel. Would you like to be frozen?

You can, but it would die. If it was suffering or slowly dying you would want to freeze it to take it out of its misery.

If you want to put the fish to sleep why don't you simply microwave it?
