I'm the kind of person that likes all kind of music, this time last year I listend to nothing but rap hiphop and r-n-b (only what most of my friends listened to and what was always on the radio), I've matured a lot over the year and I now barley listen to any hiphop and stuff like that and my mp3 player now consist of mostly alternative, pop, rock, punk, ect. But I still occasionally browse random myspace music pages, and find new bands and songs that I like, so I'm asking you guys, What are some good songs that I can download? It doesn't have to be any specific type, like I said, I like almost all kinds of music. But I like mostly upbeat music. ****No hard Metal, screamo,or emo music please***-(Examples of artist I like--Avril Lavigne, Nickleback,Paramore ,The Sounds, SugarCult, Yellowcard, Nelly Furtado,Lost Prophets, Lady Soverigne,Fergie,Cold Play, Blue October, The Red Jumpsuit Apparattus, Taking Back Sunday) (Note: Please no songs from Artist already listed here.)

If you're into that kind of music, you should check out Armada (www.myspace.com/armadapa) or Cartel (www.myspace.com/cartel), Anberlin (www.myspace.com/anberlin), or Houston Calls (www.myspace.com/houstoncalls). Contact me for more, I could list them all day!

Here are a few that are "Alternative" . . .
Dar Williams - Spring Street (I don't like half of her stuff, but this one is REALLY good. Just an awesome job of putting the music and lyrics together so it just moves perfectly, and it also seems really personal)

Susan Tedeshi - Don't think twice it's Alright (this is actually a Bob Dylan song. I love Bob Dylan, but Susan's covers always blow away the original, which is very rare. She is awesome. (she also did Bob's "Lord, protect my Child" awesome)

And one from left field that is really cool:
King Britt presents Sister Getrude Morgan - I am the Living Bread ( I'm not sure if I like the orginal better, or King Britt's remix, but both are very cool, and I think most people would like the remix better. There are a lot of other cool ones here, like Take My Hand, Lead Me On. )

Hey - I forgot to mention a very cool website that helps you find new music that you'll like. It's Pandora.com. You put in a list of artists and songs you like, and it streams those artists, and others like them. You can keep multiple stations, in case you have different tastes that you want to switch between. And you can share your stations with your friends. Here is one of mine:

Two words -- IRON MAIDEN!!!

You sound young and you need some music culture.

Start off slow -- Try "Aces High" live version off of "Live After Death".

"It shall go on to the end. "We shall fight in France...."
